TAVMA: A Look Back, and a Look Ahead

In a recent article in the Pittsburgh Business Times, Mike Forgas, president of National Real Estate Information Services (NREIS) and 2001 TAVMA president and CEO, said: “Since its formation, TAVMA has gained recognition as a national trade association that gets result.” He noted that TAVMA has succeeded in a number of instances in defeating protectionist legislation that was intended to limit competition and consumer choice for real estate settlement services. As the year comes to a close the editors of the TAVMA newsletter thought it would be worth while to recap some of these successes.
